Telkom prepared to support digital transformation of State-Owned Enterprises through cloud and AI
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has expressed its readiness to support the acceleration of digital transformation for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) by providing integrated solutions based on cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity.
This commitment was conveyed by Telkom through its Telkom Solution unit during the BUMN Digital Transformation event organised by Danantara Indonesia at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Monday (5/5), which was attended by 50 Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) from various BUMN sectors.
“As a national digital company with integrated capabilities and an ecosystem, Telkom supports the digital transformation of BUMN through Telkom Solution, which provides solutions tailored to business needs, including the use of automation and AI to increase productivity and corporate operational performance,” said Telkom’s Director of Enterprise & Business Service, Veranita Yosephine, in a statement on Monday.
Telkom noted that Telkom Solution offers an end-to-end digital service ecosystem, ranging from digital connectivity, cloud services, and cybersecurity to AI-based innovations that can be utilised across various industrial sectors.
Veranita added that the digitalisation needs of BUMN encompass not only real-time connected systems but also adequate data protection, given the increasing risk of cyberattacks.
Meanwhile, Telkom’s Director of IT Digital, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, stated that Telkom possesses three main foundations in supporting national digital transformation: story, capability, and sovereignty. He believes that collaboration between BUMNs serves as a vital momentum for building shared digital capabilities that can create added value and sustainable economic impact.
Telkom’s Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, also emphasised the importance of building an integrated digital ecosystem as the foundation for BUMN digital transformation. According to Seno, the integration of cloud technology, AI, and connectivity is a strategic factor in creating long-term value while strengthening national digital sovereignty amidst regulatory challenges, geopolitical dynamics, and the increasing demand for AI-based data processing.
Telkom stated that this approach to strengthening digital capabilities is intended to ensure that the digital transformation of BUMNs proceeds in a more integrated manner—covering data management, applications, infrastructure, and business processes—thereby supporting increased efficiency and competitiveness.
