Telkom optimistic enterprise business could grow up to 30 percent
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is optimistic that its enterprise business segment has room to grow to a contribution of 20–30 percent or more of total company revenue, in line with strengthening digital transformation and synergy with Danantara Indonesia.
Director of Enterprise & Business Service at Telkom, Veranita Yosephine, said the opportunity is supported by increasing demand for digital transformation across various sectors, from government and state-owned enterprises to the wider business community.
“Indonesia needs strong national digital capabilities to address the challenges of artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, data sovereignty and AI sovereignty. Telkom is ready to take on this strategic role through strengthening connectivity and integrated digital solutions,” Veranita said in a statement received in Batam on Saturday.
Veranita made the remarks during a strategic discussion with Danantara’s Head of Investment Management Agency and Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria and Danantara Managing Director Business-2 Setyanto Hantoro regarding the development direction of Telkom Enterprise.
Currently, the enterprise business contributes around 11 percent of Telkom’s revenue, or Rp19 trillion.
According to Veranita, this contribution still has room to be increased. At several global telecommunications companies, the enterprise segment is able to contribute around 20–30 percent or more of total revenue.
“We are optimistic that Telkom Enterprise has the potential to grow stronger, improve profitability, and become one of Telkom’s growth engines going forward,” she said.
To capture this opportunity, Telkom Enterprise is restructuring its organisation, strengthening governance and simplifying business processes to be more effective, efficient and oriented towards customer needs in the business-to-business (B2B) segment.
This restructuring is part of the implementation of the TLKM 30 transformation strategy as well as Telkom’s synergy with Danantara in strengthening national digital capabilities.
Veranita said various technology needs such as AI, cloud, data centres, managed services, Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber security require strong, secure and high-capacity connectivity support.
For this reason, Telkom continues to integrate these capabilities to deliver comprehensive digital solutions for customers.
“Various digital solutions require resilient, secure and high-capacity connectivity in order to run optimally,” she said.
In addition to strengthening its portfolio, Telkom is also simplifying business processes by leveraging digital technology. This step begins with the company’s internal processes to improve efficiency, accelerate customer service and open up new, more adaptive business opportunities.
Going forward, Telkom will strengthen the integration of connectivity, digital infrastructure, data centres, cloud and cyber security services as the foundation for developing end-to-end digital solutions.
This effort is expected to make the enterprise business one of Telkom’s new sources of growth while supporting the acceleration of digital transformation and strengthening Indonesia’s digital sovereignty.
