Telkom Eyes Enterprise Segment Growth in Synergy with Danantara
The success of digital transformation relies heavily on robust connectivity. As Indonesia’s leading digital telecommunications company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is strengthening its capabilities to support transformation across various sectors through its Enterprise division. The unit provides digital solutions catering to the needs of government, state-owned enterprises, and the business world.
This was conveyed by Telkom’s Director of Enterprise & Business Service, Veranita Yosephine, to the Head of the Danantara Investment Management Agency and Chief Operating Officer, Dony Oskaria, during a strategic discussion on the development of Telkom Enterprise. In line with Telkom’s ‘TLKM 30’ transformation strategy, the enterprise segment is undergoing restructuring to improve organisation, strengthen governance, and simplify business processes to become more effective, efficient, and market-oriented in the B2B segment.
This initiative is part of Telkom’s synergy with Danantara to address new challenges requiring strong national digital capabilities. “Indonesia needs strong national digital capabilities to address the challenges of artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, data sovereignty, and AI sovereignty. Telkom is ready to take on this strategic role by strengthening integrated connectivity and digital solutions to support digital transformation across various sectors,” Veranita stated in an official release on Friday.
She further explained that digital solutions such as AI, cloud, data centres, managed services, Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber security require resilient, secure, and high-capacity connectivity to operate optimally. Consequently, Telkom continues to strengthen its enterprise business to deliver integrated digital services and become a strategic partner for customers in meeting their transformation needs.
Currently, the enterprise business contributes approximately 11%, or Rp19 trillion, to Telkom’s total revenue. This contribution has significant room for growth, considering that at several global telecommunications companies, the enterprise business can account for 20%-30% or more of total revenue. This indicates an opportunity for Telkom to further develop its enterprise business as a future growth engine.
“With the right transformation, we are optimistic that Telkom Enterprise has the potential to grow stronger, increase profitability, and become one of Telkom’s growth drivers going forward,” Veranita explained. This step is also being realised through the simplification of business processes and strengthening of governance by utilising digital technology, starting internally at Telkom to improve internal process efficiency, accelerate customer service, and open up new business development opportunities that are more adaptive to market needs. Going forward, Telkom will continue to strengthen the synergy between connectivity, digital infrastructure, data centres, cloud, and cyber security services as the foundation for delivering end-to-end digital solutions.
