Telkom extends service

JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned domestic telecommunications provider PT Telkom launched yesterday more outlets for Pasopati (Integrated Services Digital Network) service.

Indonesia launched the network in September last year with Telkom and PT Indosat as the operators.

The network evolved from a telephony integrated digital network into a network that provides end-to-end digital connectivity. The network supports a wide range of services, including voice and nonvoice services, the users of which can have access through a limited set of standard multipurpose user network interfaces.

People are able now to hold conferences through the network at Telkom's offices on Jl. Panjaitan in East Jakarta, Jl. Penataran in Central Jakarta, Jl. S. Parman in West Jakarta and Jl. Sisingamangaraja in South Jakarta.

Other offices offering the service are located in Surabaya, East Java, and in Serang, West Java. (icn)
