Telkom Expands Digital Education Utilisation, Over 718,000 Students Use PIJAR

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is continuing to strengthen the national digital education transformation through PIJAR, a digital education platform developed to support various needs within the education ecosystem. Throughout the first semester of 2026, Telkom, via PIJAR, supported various strategic education agendas including the administration of the Academic Competency Test (TKA) Try Out, the LENTERA 2026 Academic Competition, Teacher and Education Personnel Recruitment Selection, as well as digital assessments through Computer-Based School Exams (USBK), End-of-Level Summative Assessments (ASAJ), Mid-Semester Assessments (PTS), and End-of-Semester Assessments (PAS). This implementation has reached more than 2,000 schools across 33 provinces, with a total of over 718,500 participants. Collaboration with regional governments, education offices, and education units in various parts of Indonesia is part of Telkom’s effort to deliver digital solutions for the education sector. Through PIJAR, the processes of learning, assessment, and selection can take place more objectively, efficiently, and transparently, and are easily monitored through the use of digital technology. Telkom’s Director of IT Digital, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, affirmed that digital transformation in the education sector is not solely focused on providing technology, but also on its utilisation to create a real impact on improving the quality of education. ‘Technology is not just about connectivity, but about creating impact. Through PIJAR, Telkom seeks to assist the government and education units in conducting learning processes, assessments, and even teacher recruitment more effectively, measurably, and transparently, reaching more participants across Indonesia,’ said Faizal, as quoted from his statement on Monday, 3 August 2026. PIJAR supported the administration of the TKA in cooperation with the Education Offices of Karawang Regency and Boalemo Regency as part of preparations for implementing digital-based assessments. The digital try-out solution via PIJAR has been utilised by more than 91,000 students in various regions of Indonesia. The try-out implementation reached more than 76,000 students from 1,200 schools in Karawang Regency, over 2,100 students in Boalemo Regency, and more than 12,500 students from 500 schools in the ASAJ Try Out in Balikpapan City. PIJAR also supported the LENTERA 2026 Academic Competition with the Semarang City Education Office through a Computer Based Test (CBT) system.
