Telkom applies to NYSE
NEW YORK (Reuter): PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), the nation's telecommunications company, said it filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regarding an offering of American Depositary Shares in its global offering of stock.
The company said it has 2.7 million subscriber lines and provides a number of other telecommunications services.
Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and SBC Warburg, PT Bahana, PT Danareska, PT Jardine Fleming Nusantara and PT Makindo are marketing the offering, the company said.
Telkom's offering is part of a privatization program by the Indonesian government and follows initial public offerings of PT Indosat and PT Tambang Timah, the company said.
