Telkom, Amex issue joint card

JAKARTA (JP): American Express Travel Related Services (TSR)
and PT Telkom will soon launch their co-brand credit card,
offering a range of benefits to the latter's subscribers.

Telkom president Muhammad Nazif said here on Tuesday that the
Telkom American Express Co-brand Credit Card would provide
customers with new conveniences regarding payment options, while
also offering the benefits of an Amex credit card.

"Telkom is very pleased to join hands with American Express to
launch the Telkom-American Express Card," Muhammad said at a
ceremony unveiling the joint credit card.

Telkom customers will have the convenience of charging their
telephone bills on the card, he said.

Visiting Amex president, James Cracchiolo said the card would
be Indonesia's first telecommunication-linked credit card in
partnership with Telkom.

Cracchiolo expressed confidence that the new product would
boost Amex's local market share of card billing.(bkm)
