Teladan Metropolitan City Rally 2026 Held to Celebrate Jakarta's 499th Anniversary

Welcoming the 499th anniversary celebration of Jakarta, the Teladan Metropolitan City Rally (TMCR) 2026 returns as one of the capital’s iconic agendas. Carrying the grand theme “Navigate the City, Ignite the Legacy - Road to 500: The Legend Continues”, this activity serves as a historical bridge towards Jakarta’s five-century milestone next year.

TMCR 2026 is not just an ordinary automotive event. It is designed as a city rally that prioritises educational elements and fun, uniting the pillars of sport, city tourism, history, and community empowerment.

This year’s special feature is marked by the return of DKI Jakarta City Hall as the Start and Finish point, a recognition of the consistent quality of the event’s organisation.

TMCR 2026 Organising Chairman, Doni Umardanus, emphasised that this event is not a speed racing competition. The main focus lies on time precision, navigation strategy, and team cohesion. Participants will be challenged to explore a 90-kilometre route cutting through Jakarta, passing cultural sites and legendary corners that hold stories of the city’s long journey.

Full support flows from various parties, including the Teladan Alumni Family Association (IKAT), the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) DKI Jakarta, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. TMCR 2026 Patron, Adi Yunadi Endjun, hopes this event will become a positive and sporting platform for cross-community fellowship.

Chairman of IMI DKI Jakarta, Anondo Eko, stressed that TMCR 2026 regulations strongly prioritise safety driving. Unlike speed rallies, this event is designed with low speeds to ensure safety for participants and other road users. The participant release mechanism is also arranged in stages, namely 5 participants per minute, to maintain smooth traffic flow.

Rally Committee (RC) Chairman, Tony Yanuar, added that the rally questions are packaged simply so they can be enjoyed by novice participants. “We want to provide space for everyone to have fun exploring Jakarta, from classic car communities, electric vehicles, to families and young professionals,” he said.

For the public who wish to experience exploring Jakarta’s modern face and cultural heritage from a different perspective, registration is now officially open. Given the limited quota, prospective participants are expected to register immediately through the official channels.
