PT Teknodev Inti Utama is one of the few security service

could either utilize a radio frequency or a telephone line.
"Using a radio frequency is recommended for a high risk security
level because we have direct access to the frequency, a network
we have established," he said.

Being one of the security service providers that have obtained
a license from the city police to manage an external alarm
system, Teknodev can ensure a quick response to any security
related issues from its customers in line with the company's

"As soon as we receive a signal from a customer, we
immediately respond to it by first contacting the customer for
confirmation before sending a team of troubleshooters that
consist of security guards and technicians to the building or
house in question," Charles said.

"If there is a sign of danger, the Central Operation Control
Command will instruct local police officers at a nearby police
station to rush to the building or house to tackle the case," he
said.

PT Teknodev introduced the security monitoring system in 1979
when robberies at banks and money changers were rampant. In a
partnership with the City Police Headquarters, Teknodev managed
to foil many thefts or burglary attempts, including those at a
bank and automatic teller machines (ATMs) in the city a couple of
years ago.

Teknodev was established in 1978, with the objective of
assisting the government, particularly the police, in creating
public security and order. Since its establishment, Teknodev has
enjoyed growing trust from its customers due to a comprehensive

The security package for a house in a residential complex
costs Rp 2.5 million. The package includes standard security
equipment, installation, training and regular maintenance
service. The company charges each customer a monthly fee of
between Rp 150,000 and Rp 200,000.

Teknodev has also been engaged with providing security guard
services to meet the growing demand for security services since
1994. At least 350 trained security personnel who are familiar
with security equipment and the security monitoring system are
readily available. Customers of security services include
embassies, foreign residential houses, factories, companies and
TV stations.
