Teijin to set up RI film

TOKYO (AFP): Japan's Teijin Ltd. is to invest about US$70 million to set up a company to manufacture polyester film in Indonesia in early 1997, a company official said yesterday.

The new firm, PT Indonesia Teijin Films, is expected to have capital of about $20 million, and capacity will be 10,000 tons a year, rising to 30,000 tons by 2000, the official at Japan's largest polyester manufacturer said.
