Tehran’s Sky Turns Red After US–Israel Bombard Tehran Oil Depot

United States and Israel have attacked oil storage depots and refinery facilities in Tehran, Iran. The strikes sparked a major blaze that lit up Tehran’s sky. Israel’s military says it is responsible for the attack, claiming it targeted oil facilities linked to the Iranian armed forces. Iranian state media said this was the first reported strike on the Islamic Republic’s oil infrastructure. ‘We report that an oil depot in southern Tehran area has been targeted by the United States and the Zionist regime,’ IRNA reported, cited by detikNews. The depot is located in a area near a major refinery. However ILNA reported that the refinery facility did not suffer damage from the attack. The strikes also hit another oil depot in the north‑west of Tehran. AFP journalists saw fire and smoke rising from the location.
