Tehran Insists Israel Is Bound by US-Iran Peace Deal

Tehran (ANTARA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has asserted that his country views Israel as bound by a peace agreement with the United States, alongside the Shia movement Hezbollah. “I want to emphasise a crucial point: From our perspective, one party in this memorandum is America and Israel, and the other party is Iran and Hezbollah,” Araghchi stated during a meeting with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions on Tuesday. He stressed that ending hostilities in Lebanon is an equally vital aspect of concluding the war between the US and Iran. “Without the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territories they have occupied during this war, the war cannot be considered fully over,” he said. The Foreign Minister also affirmed that any Israeli attack on Lebanon in any form would be treated as a violation of the peace memorandum.
