A member of the Tegal City Police, Aiptu N, is alleged to have committed assault, including throwing acid, against his partner, identified as MAN (30), a resident of Harjamukti District, Cirebon Regency, West Java. Furthermore, Aiptu N allegedly forced MAN to consume and prepare the drug methamphetamine. The alleged violence perpetrated by Aiptu N went viral on social media after being posted on the account of lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, @hotmanparisofficial. ‘The latest viral case handled by Hotman 911!’ Hotman wrote in his post on Friday (3/7/2026). According to Hotman, the alleged violence by Aiptu N occurred between 2023 and 2024. Aiptu N was introduced to the victim MAN by a friend, and at the time, MAN was unaware that Aiptu N was a police officer. Aiptu N allegedly began assaulting MAN after they entered into an unregistered marriage. ‘After the unregistered marriage, the abuse started due to arguments and to match the perpetrator’s sexual patterns. Sometimes there were deviant acts where he wanted to be with more than one woman, and sometimes it was recorded on CCTV,’ Hotman Paris wrote in his Instagram post. Aiptu N also frequently threatened MAN that the recordings of their sexual relations would be disseminated. Furthermore, Aiptu N allegedly forced MAN to consume methamphetamine and even to prepare the illegal substance. There are also allegations that Aiptu N threw acid at the victim, causing burn injuries to MAN’s body. MAN eventually decided to report Aiptu N to the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) on Thursday (2/7/2026). Tegal City Police Chief AKBP Heru Antariksa Cahya confirmed that a member of his force was involved in the alleged violence case. He revealed that Aiptu N served at the South Tegal Police Station. ‘The Central Java Police’s Internal Affairs Division moved quickly yesterday to follow up on the officer from Tegal City Police, identified as N. An examination has been conducted and he has been detained,’ Heru said in a statement obtained by Republika on Sunday (5/6/2026). He added that the Central Java Police’s Internal Affairs Division is handling the alleged ethical violation by Aiptu N. ‘Regarding the criminal act, the report was filed with Bareskrim Polri. So, for the follow-up investigation, we are waiting for the Bareskrim investigators,’ he stated.
