Teenager Raped by 27 Men in Sampang Did Not Know Perpetrators, Abducted from Park

A 15-year-old girl is alleged to have been raped by 27 men in Sampang, Madura, East Java. Twelve suspects have been arrested by police.

According to detikJatim, the heinous act began when the victim was waiting alone in a park in the Sampang town area for a friend to arrive. Suddenly, a group of perpetrators approached her and began making false advances.

Although the victim repeatedly refused the perpetrators’ offers to go for a meal because she did not know them at all, one of the suspects resorted to physical violence, forcibly pulling her arm towards a vehicle.

“Initially the victim refused because the suspect at that time forced her by directly pulling the victim’s left arm to come along,” said Sampang Police Chief AKBP Hartono at a press conference on Friday (10/7/2026).

After being abducted on a motorbike, the victim was forcibly taken to a remote, bushy area. She was forced to get off to satisfy the perpetrators’ depraved desires on the two-wheeled vehicle.

The victim, who put up a fierce struggle, was ultimately powerless. The perpetrators threatened to dump her in a faraway location and to refuse to take her home.

“The suspect threatened the victim by saying they would take her somewhere even further away, and that the suspect would not take the victim home. Because at that point the victim felt frightened, she finally gave in,” said Hartono.
