Teenage girl dies after having sex

JAKARTA (JP): An 18-year-old girl died yesterday after
allegedly having sexual intercourse with an Saudi Arabian
national at the Central Hotel on Jl. Pramuka in Central Jakarta.

The teenage girl, identified as Siti Khadijah, was found
unconscious with her mouth full of foam after allegedly having
slept with the man, identified as Abdul Rosyid, Central Jakarta
Police Chief Lt. Col. M. Ibrahim said.

"A doctor from a nearby hospital tried to help the girl, but
it was too late," Ibrahim said. Police speculated that the victim
had taken designer drugs.

He said Rosyid is now being held at the police precinct for
questioning.

Rosyid said he picked the girl up at the Three House
discotheque in Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Khadijah's father, Somapihar, said his daughter once told him
that she had a lover, who was working in Saudi Arabia.

"But her lover was not Abdul Rosyid," he told reporters at the
morgue of Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital yesterday.

Somapihar, who is a resident of Jl. Kampung Duku, Kramat Djati
district in East Jakarta, has two sons and two daughters. (jun)
