Teddy States Prabowo's France Visit Yields Four Agreements
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed four new commercial agreements following President Prabowo Subianto’s meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
“In the state visit, four new commercial agreements were reached, focusing on energy security, trade, and defence cooperation,” Teddy stated in a release on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Army Lieutenant Colonel did not disclose details of the agreements reached during the meeting.
The business forum brought together 30 leading industrial and corporate executives from Indonesia and France, with a combined market capitalisation of $1.3 trillion.
“The forum is committed to overseeing the implementation of previous memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and investment commitments. During President Macron’s state visit to Indonesia in May 2025, 27 MoUs were signed worth over $11 billion,” Teddy said.
Prabowo also expressed deep respect for Macron’s leadership, citing its global impact. He praised Macron for having the courage to take positions in line with his nation’s principles. “Always courageous in taking positive, firm stances in line with the principles upheld by the French Republic,” Prabowo said.
