President Prabowo Subianto attended the France-Indonesia High Level Business Council forum alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The event saw a combined market capitalisation of $1.3 trillion from participating companies.

The forum was held after Prabowo and Macron held a bilateral meeting at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday, 28 May 2026. It was initiated by Kadin Indonesia and MEDEF International.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the business forum brought together 30 leading industry and corporate leaders from Indonesia and France, with a combined market capitalisation of $1.3 trillion.

“After bilateral and one-on-one meetings, Presidents Prabowo and Macron also attended the launch of the France-Indonesia High Level Business Council, initiated by Kadin Indonesia and MEDEF International,” Teddy said in a statement on his Instagram account on Friday, 29 May 2026.

“The business forum brought together 30 leading industry and corporate leaders from Indonesia and France with a combined market capitalisation of $1.3 trillion,” he added.

During the state visit, Indonesia and France signed four new commercial agreements focused on energy security, trade, and defence cooperation. Additionally, the forum committed to overseeing the implementation of previously signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and investment commitments.

Teddy revealed that during President Macron’s state visit to Indonesia in May 2025, 27 MoUs were signed worth over $11 billion.

“The forum also committed to overseeing the implementation of various MoUs and investment commitments previously agreed upon,” he said.
