Teddy Indra Wijaya Named Best Author at Seskoad 2026
The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, General Maruli Simanjuntak, has designated Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya as the author of the best individual research paper (Taskap) for the LXVIII Regular Education course at Seskoad 2026. The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the course at the Professor Doctor Satrio Building, Seskoad Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. “Seskoad graduates must possess strong strategic insight, a visionary mindset, and high moral integrity,” stated Maruli, as quoted from the official Indonesian Army website.
Following his designation as the best Taskap author, Teddy was invited to present his research findings before guests and student officers. Maruli reminded all Seskoad student officers that they must not focus solely on technical and tactical military skills, but must also develop superior character as the next generation of the Army’s struggle. He noted that future challenges will demand military leaders who are not only excellent in soldierly professionalism but are also capable of strategic thinking, adapting to technological developments, and maintaining a long-term vision.
Maruli also urged Teddy and all student officers to maintain integrity, enhance their self-capacity, and foster a culture of lifelong learning. “The educational foundation obtained is expected to serve as a basis for facing various operational challenges while providing the best contribution to the progress of the organisation,” said the former Commander of Kostrad.
Previously, the Head of the Indonesian Army Information Service, Brigadier General Donny Pramono, explained that the Seskoad education course attended by Teddy utilised a blended learning method. This method, he noted, was adjusted to the development of the educational system and the dynamics of duties and organisational needs within the Army. “The implementation of the education included both face-to-face and online methods,” said Donny on Saturday, 7 February 2026.
Seskoad is the highest general development educational institution within the Indonesian Army. The institution aims to shape middle-ranking officers, at the rank of Major or Lieutenant Colonel, to possess leadership, managerial, and strategic capabilities. The LXVII Regular Education Seskoad 2026 was attended by 279 student officers, comprising 255 Indonesian Army officers, 4 Navy officers, 2 Air Force officers, 7 National Police officers, and 11 officers from friendly nations.
