Technology and Entertainment Merge in Visitor Activation Concept at Exhibition
Competition within the electronics industry is driving manufacturers to seek new ways to reach consumers. Moving beyond traditional advertising and storefront displays, many brands are now introducing direct experiences, allowing the public to test technology and features personally before making a purchase decision.
This approach is increasingly prevalent in various exhibitions and bazaars that combine shopping, entertainment, and product interaction. Through this concept, consumers do not merely observe products but directly experience their benefits and utility in daily life.
This trend is evident in the Inspired Home & Living Show (IHLS) at TerasKota Tangerang, which features an activation programme titled UFORIA, presented by Advance Digitals. Running from 26 May to 7 June 2026, the programme is designed to merge shopping experiences with technology and interactive entertainment for visitors.
Teddy Tjan, President Director of Advance Digitals, stated that through UFORIA, the company aims to provide a more intimate and interactive way to introduce technology to the public. He noted that direct experience is crucial as it helps consumers understand product benefits more tangibly than simply viewing specifications or promotional materials.
“We want to offer a different experience to the community through UFORIA at IHLS. Not only to introduce the latest technology and products, but also to create interactions that the entire family can enjoy,” said Teddy.
Through the programme, Advance Digitals is introducing several of its flagship electronic products in a format closely aligned with daily consumer needs. Visitors can test various displayed devices while learning about the technology integrated into each product.
One highlight is Google TV, which offers a more practical digital entertainment experience through various services on a single integrated platform. Visitors can test available features to experience real-world usage.
Additionally, Advance is showcasing the PRO-S91 satellite speaker, equipped with 80W RMS output, dual wireless microphones, and an Extra Bass feature. This product is designed to support various entertainment needs, both in family settings and community activities.
Beyond product demonstration areas, UFORIA also combines education and entertainment through interactive activities. One such event was an Interactive Cooking Demo held on 4 June 2026 at the Main Atrium of TerasKota, utilising various household electronic appliances from Advance Digitals.
Through such activities, visitors can understand how household technology can support daily tasks more practically and efficiently.
This concept reflects the growing trend of experiential marketing within the electronics industry. Amidst a crowded market, companies must build personalised experiences so that consumers can interact directly with the technology offered.
For both exhibition organisers and brands, direct experience is seen as a way to build consumer trust. The opportunity to try products personally helps potential buyers understand the quality, function, and benefits before committing to a purchase.
The presence of UFORIA reinforces the IHLS concept as a bazaar destination that offers more than just home living and lifestyle products, providing an interactive experience relevant to modern needs.
Advance Digitals is a local electronics brand currently supported by production facilities in six locations across Indonesia, including the Candi Industrial Estate in Semarang. The company also maintains an after-sales service network spanning over 140 service centres across various regions.
