Tears of a 3-Year-Old Toddler Reveal Alleged Crime That Shook Karawang
A man suspected of sexually abusing his own three-year-old child has been arrested by the Karawang Police in West Java.
“The perpetrator, identified by the initials J (37), is a resident of Telagasari District, Karawang Regency,” stated the Head of Public Relations for Karawang Police, Ipda Cep Wildan, on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
He stated that the police will not provide any space for perpetrators of sexual crimes against children, especially when committed by someone who should be the victim’s protector.
“This is a deeply concerning crime that wounds our sense of humanity,” he said.
It is noted that children should receive protection, affection, and a sense of security from their families. However, in this case, the individual alleged to have committed the heinous act is the victim’s biological father.
Consequently, the units from the Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking Eradication Division (PPA and PPO) of the Karawang Police will handle this case seriously, professionally, and thoroughly.
Cep Wildan mentioned that the criminal case involving a man’s alleged abuse of his three-year-old child was uncovered after the victim’s sibling reported it to the police.
The family initially became suspicious of the victim’s physical condition, which showed unnatural signs. On Friday, 5 June 2026, at approximately 14:00 WIB, the victim reportedly complained of pain when walking and sitting.
The victim’s family also discovered suspicious fluid on the child’s body, prompting them to take the child to a health facility for further medical examination.
Initial examination results showed strong indications of sexual violence against the victim. The victim’s sibling then immediately reported the incident to the Karawang Police.
Following up on the report, the PPA and PPO unit of the Karawang Police immediately conducted a series of investigations, examinations of the victim and witnesses, collection of evidence, and coordination with relevant parties to provide protection and assistance to the victim.
From the investigation results, investigators obtained evidence and clues pointing towards the suspect, J (37), who is the child’s biological father.
Officers subsequently carried out the arrest and detention of the suspect a few days ago to facilitate the ongoing investigation process.
