Team to probe bombing case
KUPANG, West Nusa Tenggara: District police chief, Adj.Sr. Comr. FFJ Mirah said here on Thursday he had set up a special team comprising eight police officers to solve Wednesday's pre- dawn bomb blast at the house of the editor of the Timor Radar daily.
He said his team had no leads and had no idea who was behind the attack on at the house, located in the Kolhua Housing Complex, at 1.54 a.m.
No person was injured in the explosion, which caused extensive damage to the house and a motorbike parked some 50 meters away from the scene.
Fredy Wahon, the chief editor, speculated that police were involved in the attack which he said was closely connected to his intensive reporting of gambling coupons in the city.
"We hope Fredy will talk openly about the people behind the bombing and we will get them," Mirah said. --Antara
