A number of teachers and students in Blora are suspected to have become victims of a bogus investment scheme through the Snapboost app, with accumulated losses reaching billions of rupiah.

One victim, a teacher named Diana, admitted to using the Snapboost app. She explained that the app operates on a money-based system, where funds can double every 40 days.

“My deposit reached Rp 200 million, that’s real. Automatically, every time we like, and every 40 days we get paid, our money doubles to 400, but in the app,” she said when met by reporters at a restaurant in Blora, as reported by detikJateng on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

When Snapboost was still running smoothly, she once withdrew hundreds of millions of rupiah, which she then used to buy a car.

“I once withdrew around Rp 250 million to buy my car on credit, but it wasn’t a prize from Snapboost, I bought it myself,” she clarified.

Another victim, Roy, had attempted to facilitate a meeting between the victims and the person promoting Snapboost in Blora, namely Diana.

“Earlier, I was just bridging between Mrs Diana and the members who joined Snapboost, but it turns out none of the members came,” he said.

According to Roy, other victims are demanding the return of their money because the balances in the app cannot be withdrawn. He stated that there are 725 people ensnared by the app, with deposits totalling Rp 2 billion.

“According to the data, there are 725 people. The deposit amounts vary, from Rp 500,000 to as much as Rp 174 million. The accumulation from data of just 500 members alone has already reached Rp 2 billion,” said Roy.
