Teacher Tech Championship 2026 Opens Registration for Sulawesi Teachers

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA umbrella, is organising the Teacher Tech Championship (TTC) 2026 as a consistent effort to support the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), particularly regarding coding and artificial intelligence (AI) learning. Now in its second year, the competition is focused on senior high school (SMA/MA) teachers in six provinces across Sulawesi, including North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. The programme is open to teachers of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Informatics, and Craft and Entrepreneurship (PKWU). Running from June to October 2026, this year’s TTC carries the theme ‘Innovation of STEM-based learning tools to support Deep Learning.’ BCA Director Antonius Widodo stated that through the Teacher Tech Championship 2026, the bank aims to walk alongside teachers in Sulawesi to continue innovating and utilising technology adaptively. ‘We believe that when teachers have room to grow, they can create far more meaningful and interactive learning experiences for future generations,’ he said. According to Widodo, strengthening the capacity of educators is the main key to improving the quality of national education, in line with the number of teachers in Indonesia which increases every year. By providing a platform for teachers to experiment with technology, it is hoped that the transfer of knowledge in the classroom will become more effective and relevant to the needs of today’s industry. The first TTC was held in 2025, focusing on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) innovations for teachers in the Maluku and Papua regions. In that inaugural edition, 249 teachers actively participated in creating sustainable learning solutions. This year, with the expanded reach to Sulawesi, the programme is expected to attract even more innovators in the field of education.
