Teacher Tech Championship 2026 Opens Registration for Sulawesi Teachers

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA umbrella, is organising TTC 2026 as a manifestation of its consistency in supporting the programmes of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), particularly regarding Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning.

Entering its second year of implementation, this competition is focused on SMA/MA teachers in six provinces on Sulawesi Island, covering North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi.

The programme is open to teachers teaching Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Informatics, as well as Craft and Entrepreneurship (PKWU).

Running from June to October 2026, this year’s TTC carries the theme “STEM-based learning tool innovation to support Deep Learning.”

BCA Director, Antonius Widodo, stated that through the Teacher Tech Championship 2026, the company aims to work alongside teachers in Sulawesi to continue innovating and utilising technology adaptively.

“We believe that when teachers have the space to grow, they will be able to create much more meaningful and interactive learning experiences for future generations,” he said.

According to Antonius, strengthening educator capacity is the primary key to improving the quality of national education, in line with the increasing number of teachers in Indonesia every year.

By providing a platform for teachers to experiment with technology, it is hoped that the process of knowledge transfer in the classroom will become more effective and relevant to the needs of today’s industry.

For information, TTC was first held in 2025 with a focus on innovation themed Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for teachers in the Maluku and Papua regions. During the inaugural edition, 249 teachers actively participated in creating sustainable learning solutions. This year, with the expansion to the Sulawesi region, the programme is expected to attract more innovators in the field of education.
