Teacher in Alor Allegedly Molests Three Primary School Students
A teacher with the initials RF is alleged to have molested three primary school students in the Teluk Mutiara District, Alor, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Police received information regarding the alleged abuse via the 110 Emergency Service on Thursday (10/09/2026) at 11:20 WITA.
“Based on the initial information received by investigators, the alleged case involves three students who are still minors,” stated the Alor Police Chief, AKBP Nur Azhari, when confirmed by detikBali on Friday (11/09/2026).
Upon receiving the report, police immediately proceeded to the primary school where the alleged incident occurred. Upon arrival, a number of parents and local residents had gathered and were demanding a meeting with RF.
Pamapta II, Aiptu Asbiran Tolang, subsequently requested assistance from the Alor Police Operations Head, AKP I Ketut Sedra, and the Alor Police Samapta Head, AKP Warsito, to prevent any incidents of vigilantism. Sedra and Warsito arrived at the school at approximately 11:45 WITA and subsequently apprehended RF.
Azhari explained that the first alleged incident of molestation occurred against one student in a Grade 3 classroom on Monday (07/09/2026) at around 08:00 WITA. This information aligns with the initial statements provided by the victims’ families to the police.
The alleged molestation recurred in the same classroom on Wednesday (09/09/2026). RF is alleged to have molested two students in that class during the second incident.
However, Azhari emphasised that this information is based on preliminary reports. The police will investigate further and conduct verification through the investigative process. Investigators will examine all relevant parties and collect evidence in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
“We ensure that this report will be handled professionally and in accordance with legal procedures. Investigators will delve into all available information, examine relevant parties, and collect evidence to clarify this case,” Azhari explained.
Azhari noted that the case has been officially reported by the victims’ families to the Integrated Police Service Centre (SPKT) of the Alor Police Station under Police Report Number LP/B/364/IX/2026/SPKT/Polres Alor/Polda NTT on 10 September 2026.
Azhari assured that the Alor Police will process this case based on valid evidence and statutory regulations. He also urged the community not to take the law into their own hands against the alleged perpetrator.
Furthermore, Azhari requested all parties not to disseminate the identity, photos, addresses, or any other information that could reveal the identity of the children suspected to be victims. “The protection of children must be a collective concern so that the legal process can proceed without neglecting the rights and interests of the children,” he clarified.
Azhari also called on the public not to spread unverified information and to avoid actions that could interfere with the legal process or harm the parties involved in the case. Updates on the handling of the case will be shared with the public as the legal process progresses.
