Taxpayers Struggle to Access Coretax, Purbaya: It's Spinning Around
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has extended the deadline for reporting the Annual Income Tax Notification Letter (SPT PPh). However, the extension applies only to individual taxpayers (OP), whose original deadline of 31 March 2026 has been prolonged by one month to 30 April 2026. Thus, the reporting deadline for individual taxpayers now matches that for corporate taxpayers. The extension was made because many taxpayers are experiencing difficulties accessing Coretax. Purbaya explained that the system sometimes runs slowly. “Because there’s also the possibility that Coretax is spinning around, some people are experiencing that,” Purbaya stated. Although extended, individual and corporate taxpayers are urged to report their SPT as soon as possible. The following is how to do it, quoted from pajak.go.id. This is to facilitate taxpayer reporting without needing to visit the Tax Office (KPP). After obtaining the authorisation code, the next step is SPT reporting. It is important to first download the 1721-A withholding certificate so that SPT filling is not hindered.
