Taxpayers Reporting SPT Reach 75.77 Percent of Target
The Directorate General of Taxation of the Ministry of Finance reports that as of Tuesday, 21 April 2026, 11.57 million taxpayers have reported their Annual Tax Notification (SPT) for personal income tax or PPh via Coretax. The reporting deadline for individual taxpayers has been extended until 30 April 2026.
The reported SPTs reach 75.77 percent of the reporting target of 15.27 million. “The progress of Annual PPh SPT reporting for the period up to 21 April 2026 (Tax Year 2025) records 11,579,824 SPTs,” states the official statement from the DJP on Wednesday, 22 April 2025.
This number consists of reports from individual taxpayers totalling 11,191,330, business entity taxpayers 296,393 SPTs, and business entity taxpayers with different fiscal years 4,900 SPTs. Meanwhile, Coretax account activations by the DJP have reached 18,299,631.
The deadline for individual taxpayer SPT reporting is 31 March, while for business entity taxpayers it is 30 April. However, the government has extended the reporting deadline for individual taxpayers until 30 April 2026.
In line with the additional time granted, the DJP is also waiving administrative sanctions for taxpayers who report during the extension period. “From 31 March 2026 to 30 April 2026, administrative sanctions are waived, whether in the form of fines or interest,” states the official announcement from the DJP at the end of March.
The waiver of sanctions applies to individual taxpayers who submit the SPT PPh for the 2025 tax year; make payments of Income Tax Article 29 for the 2025 tax year; or settle any shortfall in payments and deposits of Income Tax Article 29 based on the SPT PPh for which the submission deadline has been extended.
