South Tangerang, Kompas.com - Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang Pilar Saga Ichsan has urged the developers of the Green SM Taxi Pool construction project on Ciater Raya Road, Serua, Ciputat, to promptly complete all permit requirements.

One of the highlighted permits is the Building Construction Approval (PBG) and Traffic Impact Analysis (Amdal Lalin), which have yet to be issued.

The request was made by Pilar during a surprise inspection (sidak) at the project site on Tuesday (5/5/2026), following a landslide of soil that caused mud to cover the road and disrupt the main access for residents.

Although initial work involving cut and fill has been permitted, Pilar emphasised that all stages of permitting must still be fulfilled before proceeding to the main construction phase.

“So, we’re not discussing what this is for first, but I demand that it be fulfilled beforehand. No matter what it’s for, all permits must be met,” he said.

In addition to permitting issues, Pilar also spotlighted on-site technical aspects, particularly the drainage system, which he deemed inadequate.

This was evident from the project soil mud flowing onto Ciater Raya Road, making the road slippery. According to Pilar, the condition occurred because the project lacks its own drainage system.

“It should have its own drainage channel. Don’t burden the existing road drainage,” he said.

Therefore, he asked the developers and contractors to immediately take anticipatory steps to prevent similar incidents, especially since the project location is in a strategic area that serves as a main route for the community.

“This is a vital area traversed by the public. Don’t let incidents like this happen again because they are very detrimental,” he stated.

“The quickest thing we ask to be done is excavation for drainage. I also request that the fire department be on standby as a precaution if rain falls,” said Pilar.

Meanwhile, Kompas.com has attempted to contact the contractor for the Green SM Taxi Pool construction project, Chalid, to seek comment. However, there has been no response as of yet.
