Taxi companies mushrooming

New taxi companies have been mushrooming the past two years.
They got their trade permits from Bekasi, Bogor or Tangerang.
They all operate in Jakarta.

Sadly, taxi services are getting worse. The companies do not
seem to bother to educate their taxi drivers as to how to behave
ethically. We have heard many cases concerning the bad services
provided by taxi drivers. Many of them use modified taxi meters.
Some drivers are rude to passengers, and still, some do not want
to take short-distance passengers.

The government or the Land Transport Organization, in the
interest of the public, needs to monitor and evaluate the
performances of the taxi drivers of each company.
