JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has recorded 13,056,881 reports of Annual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh) for the 2025 tax year as of 30 April 2026.

Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that the majority of reports come from individual taxpayers, particularly employees.

“From the total, employee individual taxpayers (WP OP) dominate with 10,743,907 SPTs, followed by non-employee WP OP with 1,438,498 SPTs,” Inge said in an official statement on Friday (1/5/2026).

Meanwhile, reports from corporate taxpayers are recorded at 846,682 SPTs for those using rupiah and 1,379 SPTs based on US dollars. For the oil and gas sector, the number is relatively small, namely 13 SPTs in rupiah and 181 SPTs in US dollars.

Along with the increase in reporting, the DJP also noted a surge in activations of the latest tax system account, Coretax DJP.

As of the end of April 2026, the number of taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts reaches 18,993,498. The breakdown is: individual taxpayers 17,803,629, corporate taxpayers 1,098,274, government agency taxpayers 91,366, and electronic system-based trade taxpayers (PMSE) 229.

Initially, the reporting deadline for individual taxpayers was 31 March 2026, but it was extended until today, 30 April 2026. Thus, taxpayers who are late may be subject to penalties in accordance with applicable provisions.

Additional information: the penalty provisions for taxpayers who are late or fail to report SPT are regulated in Law Number 28 of 2007 concerning General Provisions and Tax Procedures (KUP).
