Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - A total of 12,109,636 taxpayers have reported their annual Notification Letter (SPT) up to 28 April 2026. The deadline for reporting the annual SPT is set for 30 April 2026 for business entity taxpayers, while individual taxpayers face a deadline of 31 March 2026, with a fine exemption extended until 30 April 2026.

The Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance detailed that 10,238,700 employee individual taxpayers (WP OP Karyawan) have filed, along with 1,319,777 non-employee individual taxpayers (WP OP Non Karyawan) for the January to December 2025 fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the number of corporate annual SPT filers stands at 539,198 in rupiah and 501 in US dollars. For taxpayers with different fiscal years, there are 11,403 corporate filers in rupiah and 34 using US dollars.

On the other hand, the number of taxpayers who have activated their CoreTax DJP accounts reaches 18,604,398. This figure comprises 17,456,928 individual taxpayers, 1,055,977 corporate taxpayers, 91,266 government agency taxpayers, and 227 digital economy taxpayers (WP PMSE).

As is known, the initial reporting deadline for annual SPT for individual taxpayers was set to end on 31 March 2026. However, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that the reporting period for the annual notification letter (SPT) specifically for individual taxpayers would be extended until 31 April 2026.

He explained that the extension of the reporting period, originally ending on 31 March 2026 for individual taxpayers, is due to the 2025 tax year reporting period coinciding with the long holidays of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran in 2026.

“So until 31 April, extended by one month because of the holidays,” said Purbaya at his office in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

In addition, due to the long holidays and the Lebaran homecoming period in the midst of society, Purbaya stated that the extension of the annual SPT reporting deadline for individual taxpayers also considers the CoreTax system, which still occasionally faces minor issues related to loading.

“Some people experience that, so we’ve extended it,” Purbaya emphasised.
