Tax Reporting for Fiscal Year 2025 Reaches 8.78 Million
The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has recorded progress in the filing of Annual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh) for the 2025 fiscal year, reaching 8,783,653 returns as of 24:00 WIB on 22 March 2026. Based on taxpayer types, filings are dominated by individual employee taxpayers, totalling 7,753,294 returns. “Individual non-employee taxpayers have filed 846,494 returns,” stated Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations Inge Diana Rismawanti in a written statement on Monday, 23 March 2026. For corporate taxpayers with January-December fiscal years, 182,171 returns were recorded in rupiah and 138 in US dollars. Meanwhile, for corporate taxpayers with differing fiscal years, whose reporting began on 1 August 2025, there were 1,535 returns (rupiah) and 21 (US dollars). In addition to SPT filings, DJP has noted developments in Coretax account activations. As of the same date, the number of taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts reached 16,676,712. Of this total, 15,631,073 are individual taxpayers. Meanwhile, corporate taxpayers numbered 955,005, followed by 90,408 government agency taxpayers, and 226 taxpayers engaged in Electronic System-Based Trading (PMSE). Inge stated that DJP continues to encourage taxpayers to promptly file their annual SPT and activate Coretax accounts as part of the transformation of the tax administration system.
