Tax office building wanted

The general public remains confused over where they should pay their vehicle tax, as the promised new tax office has yet to be built.

The administration has repeatedly promised a new office would improve service to tax payers.

Currently people have to go to the overcrowded City police headquarters near to the Semanggi flyover to pay their taxes.

Suara Pembaruan afternoon daily reported yesterday that some people have been using and making shacks on the idle plot intended for the new tax office on Jl. Daan Mogot. According to a tax official, financial problems are slowing the planned construction. (09)
