Tax Employees Join WFH, Face-to-Face Services and 'Kring Pajak' Continue to Operate

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has assured that services to taxpayers will continue normally even as civil servants (ASN) implement the work-from-home (WFH) policy every Friday. Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations, Inge Diana Rismawati, stated that the DJP is following the government’s directive on WFH for ASN. However, tax officers will still be available for the public who require direct services at tax offices. “Nevertheless, the Integrated Service Points at Tax Offices will remain open from 8:00 to 16:00 local time,” Inge told CNBC Indonesia, quoted on Friday (10/4/2026). Inge emphasised that face-to-face services will be conducted with adjustments to the number of personnel. The DJP has ensured that limited staff will not disrupt the smooth provision of services to the public. “In addition to direct services, the DJP also ensures that remote service channels remain fully operational,” Inge added. “Kring Pajak services, both local and ready to ensure all face-to-face tax services run smoothly even with limited personnel according to needs,” she said. As is known, the government has set WFH every Friday. Today, Friday (10/4/2026), is the inaugural implementation of WFH for ASN. Although in some regions, WFH is applied on different days. Through Circular Letter of the Minister of PANRB Number 3 of 2026, ASN are required to carry out WFH every Friday. This policy has been in effect since 1 April 2026 and is part of the work culture transformation and national energy efficiency.
