Tax collection to households: Kupang Bapenda officers receive 20 new motorbikes
The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Kupang City, in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has received 20 motorbikes to support direct tax collection from the community. The procurement was carried out by the General Affairs Division of the Kupang City Secretariat (Setda Kota Kupang) with a budget of more than Rp 400 million. The price of the Suzuki Address motorcycles is Rp 22 million per unit.
Acting Head of the General Affairs Division of the Kupang City Secretariat, Hubert Mani, said the procurement of motorcycles is a form of support to achieve an optimal target for regional own-source revenue. “Because up to now many locations could not be reached by car and could only be reached by motorcycle, so we are procuring these motorbikes,” he said on Tuesday (19 May 2026).
According to him, the dozens of motorcycles will be assigned to 20 field officers, “so as to facilitate in carrying out tax collection duties up to residents’ homes,” he explained.
He added that the use of motorcycles is considered more effective for reaching residential areas with narrow access roads. Currently, the motorbikes are neatly parked on the first floor of Kupang City Hall.
“At present, the 20 motor units are in the process of handover from the General Affairs Division of the Kupang City Secretariat to Bapenda Kupang City,” Hubert concluded.
