The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) at the Ministry of Finance recorded a 23% growth in tax revenue from January to June 2026. Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto stated that tax revenue is still growing in line with the increase in public activity. “We recorded that tax revenue, thank God, is very good. From January to June, we recorded growth of more than 23%,” he said when met by reporters after a press conference on Wednesday (1/7/2026). Bimo revealed that the realisation of tax revenue by the end of June 2026 had nearly reached half of the target set in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). “The realisation of tax revenue at the end of June 2026 is around 45%, the final figure will likely be in our APBN,” said Bimo. With a realisation of around 45% by the end of June, tax revenue is estimated to have reached approximately Rp 1,061 trillion, although this figure is still an estimate based on the percentage conveyed by the DJP. For context, the tax revenue target in the 2026 APBN is set at Rp 2,357.7 trillion. He confirmed that the government will deliver the official state revenue realisation in the APBN Kita press conference held by the Ministry of Finance.
