The Ministry of Finance’s Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has blocked the accounts of 84 taxpayers to recover tax arrears totalling Rp 330.664.197.474.

Twelve Tax Service Offices (KPP), coordinated by the Banten Regional Tax Office, executed the blockages between 18 and 22 May 2026. The accounts were held at 15 state-owned and private banks.

“A total of 84 taxpayers had their accounts blocked across 15 banks,” the DGT stated.

“Total tax arrears amount to Rp 330.6 billion,” it added.

The action, conducted under Law No. 19 of 1997 on Tax Collection with Forced Execution (amended in 2000), is part of active collection procedures before asset seizure. Taxpayers are urged to settle their debts promptly to avoid stricter measures such as asset seizure, account blocking, or travel bans.

“This is a concrete step to ensure consistent and fair enforcement of tax laws,” the DGT said, adding that the move aims to deter tax evaders and improve overall compliance.
