Taufik's group hit in multiple collision

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Four cars belonging to presidential
husband Taufiq Kiemas' traveling entourage were in a multiple
collision on Friday, leaving some drivers and passengers with
minor injuries.

The collision occurred when a driver of a sedan in the group
suddenly braked to avoid a pedicab on a crossroads. Three cars
behind the sedan were unable to stop in time, leaving some in the
cars slightly injured.

Taufik, the husband of President Megawati Soekarnoputri, who
was on his way back to Medan from the Brastagi tourist resort,
escaped injury, as his car was further in front of the group. --
