Taufik Kiemas donates two ambulances
JAKARTA: The husband of President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Taufik Kiemas, has donated two ambulances to the Army's Gatot Subroto Hospital, a report said on Friday.
Taufik officially delivered the two ambulances to the hospital's director, Brig. Gen. Buddhy Utoyo, after attending the hospital's 52nd anniversary celebrations on Friday.
Utoyo said the two ambulances would be used by the hospital's emergency unit.
The hospital was actually established in 1836, but the birthday observes July 26, 1950 when the former Dutch colonial administration handed over the hospital to Indonesia.--Antara
