Taufik Hidayat Checked In with Another Woman While Still Detaining Yuvita

BANDUNG — Taufik Hidayat, a suspect in the severe abuse and unlawful confinement case against Yuvita Tri Rezeki (29) spanning 2024 to 2026, had previously checked into a hotel with another woman, identified by the initial L, in Jatinangor, Bandung Regency. The incident occurred five months ago.

Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, confirmed the existence of a video recording showing the suspect checking in with a woman at a hotel in Jatinangor, Bandung Regency. He stated the suspect became acquainted with the woman through an application.

‘The suspect met the woman through an application, they then communicated and subsequently began a relationship,’ he said at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

He continued that the suspect and the woman travelled to a hotel in Jatinangor and engaged in relations there. Afterwards, the suspect left the woman following an argument, as he was upset she did not comply with his wishes.

The Head of Public Relations stated that the suspect cut off communication with the woman after the incident. He noted that the suspect engaged in a relationship with this other woman while he was simultaneously abusing and unlawfully confining the victim, Yuvita Tri Rezeki.
