TAUD Reveals Andrie Yunus Still Unable to Attend Acid Attack Trial
“He can’t (attend) yet; his condition is still under intensive care, so it’s not possible to be examined in court, of course,” Isnur told reporters on Friday (8/5/2026).
Additionally, Isnur highlighted the odd administrative process of the case. He stated that Andrie Yunus had not been examined by the auditor and TNI’s Puspom before the case file was brought to court.
“Besides, this is a major mistake, how could the case file from the auditor and Danpuspom be brought to court without the file from Andrie’s examination? That means there’s a defect in the judicial process,” he said.
Previously, the judge ordered the military auditor to present kontradiksiS activist Andrie Yunus as a witness in the acid attack case. The judge requested Andrie to be brought in next week.
The continuation of the acid attack case against Andrie, with four defendants, was held at the Jakarta Military Court on Wednesday (6/5/2026). The four defendants in this case are Defendant I Sergeant Two Edi Sudarko, Defendant II First Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Defendant III Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetyo, and Defendant IV First Lieutenant Sami Lakka.
Initially, the judge asked whether Andrie Yunus could be presented in court today. The auditor said they had sent a letter to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) regarding the matter.
The auditor stated that they would continue to endeavour to have Andrie provide testimony in court, either in person or virtually. The judge ordered the auditor to present Andrie at the hearing on Wednesday (13/5).
“Please, we’ll summon again later because today and tomorrow he’s definitely recovering, under treatment. Maybe summon again on the 13th, the 13th,” said the judge.
“Affirmative,” replied the auditor.
