JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) has revealed new allegations in the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus, Vice Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS). The number of perpetrators is said to be not just four, but possibly more. YLBHI Advocacy Staff and TAUD member, Afif Abdul Qoyum, stated that this finding is based on an independent investigation conducted together with KontraS. “Based on the results of the investigation we found, it turns out it was not four perpetrators, either those conducting surveillance or those executing the attack,” Afif said at the YLBHI office in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3/2026). According to Afif, CCTV footage shows two individuals acting as executors of the acid attack on Jalan Salemba I, near Talang Bridge, Senen. One perpetrator threw the acid, while the other rode the motorbike. The incident occurred on Thursday (12/3/2026) at 23.37 WIB. After the incident, the motorbike used by the perpetrators appeared to wobble while fleeing. “The perpetrator seemed to tilt to the left and it was like dropping a cup. Wobbling. That’s our analysis of OTK 1 and OTK 2 after the acid attack, the motorbike wobbled and also threw a cup,” Afif explained. OTK 1, or the acid thrower, is a man wearing a short-sleeved navy blue shirt. The man also wore a long-sleeved blue shirt wrapped around his head, partially covering his face and neck. “Furthermore (OTK 1) wore a black cap and also wore blue denim jeans,” Afif said. In addition, OTK 1 was seen wearing gloves suspected to be black latex material and riding pillion on a black automatic motorbike with an unknown licence plate. Then, OTK 2 is the motorbike driver who carried OTK 1. OTK 2 is a man seen wearing two layers of shirts. The first shirt worn is short-sleeved with a special shiny pattern in white and blue. The white-blue shirt appeared to be worn as an outer layer. Under the white-blue shirt, OTK 2 wore an orange shirt. “The next characteristic (of OTK 2) is wearing a black helmet and wearing blue denim jeans and finally driving a motorbike suspected to be a Honda Beat or Vario painted black and white with an unknown licence plate,” Afif explained. “Based on the CCTV that we have also submitted to the police, (the surveillance) started at 20.49 WIB,” Afif said.
