TAUD Identifies 16 Unknown Persons Suspected in Andrie Yunus Case, Confident Civilians Involved
The Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) has revealed the results of an independent investigation into the acid splashing incident targeting KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. They have identified 16 unknown persons (OTK) suspected of involvement in the case.
Independent researcher Ravio Patra stated that the TAUD investigation team is not attempting to replace the ongoing law enforcement process. According to him, the investigation conducted by him and TAUD serves merely as a supplement.
“And of course, the investigation team here works with TAUD, but we are not regulated, we are not paid, we are not directed by TAUD in terms of what facts must be found. So this investigation process is carried out independently, including by me as an independent researcher with no formal affiliation to TAUD,” Ravio told reporters in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (9/4/2026).
Ravio explained that they conducted the investigation using several methods. They checked CCTV recordings using reverse mapping. Several CCTV recordings were obtained limitedly from around YLBHI and the crime scene.
“So we will look at the chronology from the back to several hours before the terror action and attempted murder of Andrie Yunus occurred,” he clarified.
Ravio explained that of the 16 OTK successfully identified, they are divided into four groups. The first is the execution group with numbers OTK 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Then the second is the close-range scouting group, with numbers OTK 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. OTK 11 is a local guide, then OTK 12 as field coordinator, and OTK 13 as location guide.
Then there is the command team that Ravio said is tasked with coordinating their colleagues in the field, as well as the distant scouting group with numbers OTK 14, 15, 16.
“OTK 16 with the yellow helmet we have also traced and is suspected to be a civilian based on the ignored motorcycle ownership,” Ravio said while showing the CCTV recording.
In response, Ravio is convinced there is civilian involvement in the evil operation. On the other hand, according to him, there are still many other OTK that have not been directly identified by the authorities.
“We must convey to TAUD that there is strong indication of civilian involvement in this operation,” he emphasised.
Furthermore, while Ravio played the CCTV footage, several people suspected of involvement were seen gathering. They were scattered at several points, such as Taman Diponegoro and around the YLBHI office in Central Jakarta.
In addition, they also showed photos of evidence items used by the perpetrators to attack Andrie. The evidence items included containers of acid, helmets worn by the perpetrators suspected to have been splashed with acid. They also identified 13 motorcycles and 2 cars suspected to have been used by the perpetrators.
There were also items belonging to Andrie Yunus such as the helmet he wore during the incident, bag, underwear, glasses, and photos of the condition of the motorcycle that melted in the speedometer area.

OTK 5 alias orange potbelly acting as escort. He was seen on Panglima Polim, Sudirman, Medan Merdeka, Jalan Mendut, Taman Diponegoro, Jalan Diponegoro, Halte Megaria, SPBU Cikini, using Supra Fit silver-blue. Identity being traced.
