Tattooed Man's Body Found Buried in Badung, Suspected to be a Motorcycle Washer from Sumbawa
The identity of the man’s body found buried in an empty lot in Banjar Cabe, Darmasaba Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali, is starting to become clearer. The man is suspected to be D (25), who used to work at a motorcycle washing place near where the body was found.
Local residents believe the body is D after recognizing the tattoos on the victim’s body, which were widely circulated on social media.
“That’s him, he has that tattoo. The police have checked and said they know the identity of the victim,” said a source who wished to remain anonymous when met near the location on Friday (15/5/2026).
Photos of the victim have been circulating on social media since Thursday (14/5/2026). Another source said that D was a resident of Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), who was recruited as a motorcycle washer through a job advertisement on Facebook in February. However, the victim was dismissed on April 23, 2024, due to disciplinary issues.
“After he stopped working, there was no contact, and we don’t know where he worked,” said the source.
Although he was no longer working, a major commotion allegedly occurred at the motorcycle washing place on the early morning of May 7, 2026. Several items and furniture were found destroyed there, although the area appeared to have been cleaned up by someone in the morning.
Suspicion grew after two active employees at the place suddenly resigned around the same time as the commotion and the discovery of the body. Police are now investigating the connection between the commotion at the motorcycle washing place and the discovery of the victim’s body.
A police source said that the focus is currently on gathering information. In addition to examining CCTV footage, which was hampered by internet connection issues during the incident, officers are also tracing the disappearance of several tools that are suspected to be related to the case.

The Badung Police are now using the details of the tattoos, including a crown and the word ‘C2SP3R’, as the main clues to uncover the identity of the victim found in a state of decomposition. The public is urged to report if they recognize these distinctive features so that the mystery of the man’s death can be solved quickly.
“We are still conducting intensive investigations, including identifying specific characteristics on the victim’s body, such as the tattoos found,” said Badung Police Chief AKBP Joseph Edward Purba on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
Based on the latest identification, a crown tattoo was found on the left chest and a circle with a five-pointed star on the left arm of the body. The tattoos read “D32N” and “C2SP3R” and are located inside a flower-shaped circle on the upper left back.
“Regarding the possibility that these tattoos are related to a specific group’s symbols, we are still in the investigation stage. Our main focus now is to identify who the victim is through the existing characteristics,” said Joseph.
