Taspen's Independent Commissioner Inspects THR Handover in Makassar

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Taspen’s Independent Commissioner Ariawan directly supervised the distribution of the Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR) at several payment partners in Makassar, South Sulawesi, for all pension participants starting 5 March, distributed simultaneously through the pension payment system integrated with Taspen’s 45 payment partners nationwide. He confirmed that the THR handover carried out by the payment partners has so far run smoothly. He said the THR distribution is the company’s commitment to honour the service of retirees, and is hoped to be a driver of consumer purchasing power in welcoming Eid al-Fitr this year. “Earlier I have just directly monitored the THR distribution by our payment partners who work with Taspen, at three payment partners I directly monitored: Bank Mandiri Taspen (Mantap), Bank BRI, then the Post Office and Bank Sulselbar, and this seems to be going well,” Ariawan said in Makassar on Friday. He said retirees were very enthusiastic to receive THR. He was grateful that the THR distribution by the payment partners proceeded in an orderly and safe manner. “Hopefully retirees receive their rights as expected,” he said. The THR payment, he added, is not subject to deductions for contributions or other deductions including pension loan deductions, except for income tax as applicable and funded by the Government. During the THR handover, Taspen through payment partners provided a number of facilities for retirees waiting their turn, such as free health check services and MSMEs. In addition, the payment partners also provided sembako (staple food packages) for the retirees.
