Taspen's 2025 Profit Falls to IDR 1.04 Trillion
Jakarta - PT Taspen (Persero) recorded a current year profit of IDR 1.044 trillion in 2025, a decrease compared to IDR 1.242 trillion in 2024. The company’s revenue came from contributions and premiums amounting to IDR 7.736 trillion, as well as investment income of IDR 9.872 trillion and other income of IDR 1.863 trillion. The 2025 profit achievement was equivalent to 123.84% of the set target.
Meanwhile, profit from the management of the Old-Age Savings (THT), Work Accident Insurance (JKK), and Death Insurance (JKM) programmes reached IDR 1.04 trillion in 2025, lower than the 2024 profit of IDR 1.24 trillion. The claim ratio for the THT programme stood at 264% in 2025, up from 256% in 2024. For the JKK programme, the claim ratio increased to 28% from 20% in 2024 and 21% in 2023. The JKM claim ratio continued to decline to 64% in 2025, compared to 69% in 2024 and 84% in 2023.
“This means that for every 100 rupiah in premiums entering Taspen, we pay out 264. So there is… in Betawi language, it’s leaking. But how do we patch that? We patch it using investment returns,” said Taspen President Director Rony Hanityo Aprianto at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Wednesday. The yield on investment (YOI) also showed a positive trend, recorded at 7.29% in 2023, increasing to 7.66% in 2024, and rising further to 8.21% in 2025.
In terms of managing the THT, JKK, and JKM programmes, Taspen’s total assets increased to IDR 156.79 trillion in 2025, compared to IDR 149.55 trillion in 2024. During this period, assets grew with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.91%. For the management of the Accumulated Pension Contribution Fund (AIP), performance also grew significantly. Asset values rose from IDR 250.68 trillion in 2024 to IDR 286.24 trillion in 2025. The AIP asset growth recorded a CAGR of 11.49%. The AIP investment yield also increased from 7.28% in 2024 to 7.38% in 2025.
From the investment portfolio side of the THT, JKK, and JKM programmes, the majority of funds were placed in Government Securities (SBN) amounting to IDR 56.35 trillion or 47.84% of the total portfolio, deposits at 18.63% or IDR 21.94 trillion, and mutual funds at 10.79% or IDR 12.71 trillion. In addition, bonds, sukuk, medium term notes (MTN), and asset-backed securities (EBA) accounted for 9.56% or IDR 11.26 trillion, shares at 6.90% or IDR 8.13 trillion, and other direct investments at 6.28% or IDR 7.40 trillion.
For the THT Programme specifically, the investment composition consisted of SBN at IDR 55.27 trillion or 48.46%, deposits at IDR 19.52 trillion or 17.11%, mutual funds at IDR 12.71 trillion or 11.14%, bonds, sukuk, MTN, and EBA at IDR 11.05 trillion or 9.68%, shares at IDR 8.13 trillion or 7.12%, and other direct investments at IDR 7.40 trillion or 6.49%. The AIP Fund portfolio was more dominated by SBN with a value of IDR 193.37 trillion or 71.62%. Subsequently, deposits reached IDR 43.91 trillion or 16.27%, bonds, sukuk, MTN and EBA amounted to IDR 12.74 trillion or 4.72%, mutual funds at IDR 10.16 trillion or 4.06%, shares at IDR 8.08 trillion or 2.99%, and direct investments at IDR 0.93 trillion or 0.34%.
