PT TASPEN (Persero) received a visit from 120 students of the Actuarial Department of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) at its head office in Jakarta on Monday (29/6/2026). The students, accompanied by three lecturers, participated in a company visit themed ‘Unveiling Risk in the Actuarial World’.

Through presentation sessions, interactive discussions, and a sharing session with the Corporate Communication and Media Relations Department Head, as well as the Actuarial and Risk Management Team, the students were invited to understand the practical implementation of actuarial science in managing social security and social insurance programmes.

TASPEN Corporate Secretary Henra expressed appreciation for the activity. ‘For TASPEN, actuarial science is a strategic field that plays a crucial role in supporting risk management and the sustainability of social programmes. Therefore, we hope this collaboration can continue to produce superior talent ready to answer the future challenges of the insurance and social security world,’ said Henra.

During the company presentation, students received an explanation of TASPEN’s business transformation, the company’s role in the national social security system, and various service innovations being developed to improve service quality for participants.

Meanwhile, the Actuarial Team provided a presentation on the role of actuarial science in supporting the sustainability of social security programmes for more than 9 million active civil servants and retirees. The strategy includes risk management, data-based decision making, and maintaining the long-term sustainability of programmes for participants.

Through this company visit, TASPEN continues to strengthen public information transparency while carrying out its role as a centre of excellence in managing social security, pension funds, and risk management through collaboration with universities and academics. Over the past three years, TASPEN has received visits from more than 260 students and academics from six universities across Indonesia. Throughout 2026, TASPEN, through its PPID, has received more than 70 requests for public information, with approximately 80 percent coming from students and academics.
