Taspen Independent Commissioner Reviews THR Distribution in Makassar
PT TASPEN (Persero) has officially begun disbursing the 2026 Hari Raya Allowance (THR) for all pensioners starting Thursday (5 March). The THR is being disbursed simultaneously through the pension payment system integrated with 45 Taspen paying partners nationwide.
Taspen’s Independent Commissioner, Ariawan, directly monitored THR handovers at several paying partners in Makassar, South Sulawesi. He said the THR handovers by the paying partners have been going well so far.
‘These THR distributions, carried out by our paying partners in conjunction with Taspen, were observed directly at three paying partners: Bank Mandiri Taspen (Mantap), Bank BRI, and the Post Office, with Bank Sulselbar also involved. We see it proceeding smoothly,’ Ariawan said in a written statement on Friday (6 March 2026).
Ariawan also added that pensioners were very enthusiastic about receiving the THR. He expressed gratitude that the THR distribution by paying partners had been orderly and safe.
‘These pensioners should obtain their rights as expected,’ he added.
Moreover, Ariawan emphasised that this THR distribution is a tangible manifestation of the company’s commitment to honour the service of retirees. The THR is expected to act as a driver of consumer purchasing power ahead of this year’s Idul Fitri.
In this year’s distribution, Taspen will pay THR to 3,234,556 pensioners. The payment is based on income components received in the preceding month, comprising base pension, family allowance, food allowance, and any additional income as stipulated by the statutory regulations.
THR payments are not subject to deductions for contributions and/or other deductions including pension loan repayments. An exception applies only to income tax in accordance with applicable regulations and borne by the Government.
For civil servants or pensioners who are also recipients of widows’ or widowers’ pensions and recipients of widows’/widowers’ allowances, THR is paid to both, i.e., to the recipient themselves and as beneficiaries of the widows’/widowers’ pensions and allowances.
Meanwhile, for civil servants or pensioners who originated from civil servants after becoming pensioners or vice versa, THR is paid only once with the higher value.
During THR handovers, Taspen, through paying partners, also provides facilities for pensioners waiting their turn. These include free health check-ups and the presence of UMKM actors.
In addition, the paying partners also provide sembako (basic food baskets) to pensioners. For the Post Office partner, there is an additional service: home delivery of THR funds to pensioners’ homes without any charges.
Taspen also urges all pension recipients to heighten vigilance against various fraud schemes impersonating Taspen, particularly regarding THR 2026 payments information. ‘PT Taspen (Persero) never requests personal data such as account numbers, PINs, or OTPs, nor charges any fees in the disbursement process. We remind all pensioners to stay vigilant by applying the Tahan, Pastikan, and Laporkan (Hold, Confirm, and Report) principle if they receive suspicious information before taking any further action,’ he concluded.
