TASPEN Inaugurates Mamuju Branch Office with ESG Concept
PT TASPEN (Persero) has inaugurated its Mamuju Branch Office in West Sulawesi as the first branch to apply the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) concept, supporting services for participants while promoting sustainable development principles.
“This building has a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), so the discharged waste does not harm the environment. We greatly appreciate having a building that can serve as an example of implementing sustainability principles in West Sulawesi,” said West Sulawesi Governor Suhardi Duka in an official statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The building inauguration on 17 June was attended by TASPEN President Director Rony Hanityo Aprianto, representatives of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government, the Mamuju Regency Government, regional leadership coordination forums, vertical agencies, and representatives of state-owned enterprises.
The Mamuju Branch Office building is equipped with various facilities prioritising sustainability, accessibility, and operational efficiency, such as the use of natural lighting, disability-friendly facilities, biometric access technology based on facial recognition, and a wastewater treatment plant (IPAL).
These facilities are prepared to support services for 31,991 active participants and 16,082 pensioner participants of TASPEN in West Sulawesi Province, while strengthening the company’s service transformation oriented towards participant needs.
TASPEN President Director Rony Hanityo Aprianto said the construction of the branch office is part of the company’s transformation to improve service quality for participants. “TASPEN is here to serve pensioners and participants in five districts in West Sulawesi,” said Rony.
According to the company, the presence of the new building is also part of efforts to strengthen services after various challenges faced by the region, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the earthquake that struck Mamuju and its surroundings. During the recovery period, TASPEN provided service posts so participants could continue to access services.
TASPEN stated it will continue to strengthen social security management for civil servants and state officials through improved public service quality, strengthened corporate governance, and the implementation of inclusive and environmentally friendly development principles.
