PT TASPEN (Persero) and the Central Information Commission (KIP) conducted a public information disclosure socialisation event at the TASPEN Purwokerto branch office on 4 June 2026. The activity was attended by 50 participants, comprising 25 civil servants (ASN) approaching retirement age (BUP) and 25 pensioners. The socialisation aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of their rights to public information, the mechanisms for obtaining correct and reliable information, and the importance of information literacy in countering hoaxes and disinformation. The event featured KIP Commissioner for Socialisation, Education and Public Communication Samrotunnajah Ismail, TASPEN Purwokerto Branch Manager Yanuar Faqih Hidayat, and TASPEN’s Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) and Corporate Communication and Media Relations representative Rizky Bachrudin. TASPEN Corporate Secretary Henra stated that information transparency plays a vital role in helping participants obtain necessary information regarding TASPEN’s programmes and services. Through collaboration with the Central Information Commission, TASPEN continuously strives to improve participants’ understanding of their rights to public information while ensuring ease of access to accurate information about the programmes and services they receive. ‘We hope participants will know the right sources of information so they can access services and programme benefits more easily,’ he said in an official statement on Friday (12/6/2026). During the event, participants received education on the public’s right to information, the mechanism for requesting information, utilisation of TASPEN’s information service channels, and the importance of verifying information to avoid hoaxes and disinformation. The Central Information Commission also provided insights into the importance of public information transparency as an instrument for realising transparent and responsive public service governance. TASPEN consistently implements the Public Information Transparency Law by providing open and easily accessible information services to participants and the public. Information about TASPEN’s programmes and services can be obtained through official channels, including the TASPEN website, the PPID TASPEN website, official TASPEN social media, the Andal by TASPEN application, and services at all 57 TASPEN branch offices across Indonesia. Thanks to this consistency, TASPEN once again received the ‘Informative Public Body’ award with a score of 98.61 in 2025, marking its sixth such achievement since 2019. This activity aligns with TASPEN’s role as a Centre of Excellence in managing social security for civil servants and state officials, focusing not only on providing programme benefits but also ensuring participants have transparent and easily understandable access to information. These efforts also support the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, particularly in realising effective, transparent, and public service-oriented governance, so that the benefits of state programmes can be optimally felt by all TASPEN participants. ‘Through increasingly better information transparency, we want to ensure every participant understands their rights, benefits, and available services so they can enjoy retirement with greater peace of mind, security, and prosperity,’ he concluded.
