A social assistance programme in the form of house renovations has once again been held by PT Taspen (Persero) together with Bank Mandiri Taspen (Bank Mantap). This time, the house renovation was carried out in Pagal Village, Cibal Subdistrict, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday (1/4). The activity is part of efforts to improve the quality of housing for underprivileged communities. The event was attended by Taspen’s Operational Director, Tribuna Phitera Djaja, as well as Special Staff to the Minister of Human Rights, Thomas Harming Suwarta, along with several other representatives. The total funds disbursed amounted to Rp130 million, with a target completion of construction within two months. Taspen’s Corporate Secretary, Henra, explained that the programme is not only focused on physical house building but also aims to create long-term social impacts for the beneficiaries. “Decent housing is expected to be able to improve living standards and overall community welfare,” said Henra. One of the beneficiaries, Rofina Yultin Rayun, expressed gratitude for the programme. She revealed that the previously inadequate house is now safer and more comfortable to live in. Since it was launched in 2025, the Free House Renovation programme has been implemented nine times in various regions, including Bone, Ende, Kupang, Lubuk Linggau, and Pekalongan. The activity in Manggarai is part of Taspen’s social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) programme, which is carried out together with Bank Mandiri Taspen. The programme also aligns with the government’s vision, particularly Asta Cita, the directive of President Prabowo Subianto, in improving the quality of life of the community through the provision of decent, safe, and healthy housing. In the future, collaboration between Taspen, Bank Mandiri Taspen, local government, and various stakeholders will continue to be strengthened so that the benefits of the programme can be felt more widely by communities in various regions of Indonesia.
